Discover, explore and savour the best of Sussex

A Sussex wonder, beer, night walking, & somewhere to stay

Welcome to this week’s newsletter and Sussex explorations.

It feels like it’s been a quiet week but perhaps that’s because I’m feeling so chilled after last weekend’s sound bathing experience – and more of that anon because it was amazing. And having started the weekend with sound, I finished it with stars with a night walk on the South Downs. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a while, so when the chance came up to go with a small group, I jumped at it. Honestly, what a beautiful way to see Sussex!

While I was doing that, Daisy Thomas was drinking Sussex beer and catching up with the folk from Three Acres Brewery. They are definitely another great Sussex producer to put on your “must-try” list.

I headed back over to Forest Row to check out places to stay and places to eat nearby, perfect if you’re planning a couple of days walking or exploring the area. Then I headed over to Lancing Chapel for the launch of the Sussex Heritage Trust Awards. I don’t know how, but I have survived 50-something years having never been inside the Chapel. Wow! It is magnificent and has the most incredible backstory.

Finally, it’s that time of the month when our health expert shares advice, and this month, it’s all about heartburn and acid reflux.

That’s it for now, have a great weekend! Please say hello if our paths cross.
