Welcome to this week’s newsletter and your weekly ray of optimism.
Wow, January is certainly giving us all it’s got. I hope you have managed to remain dry and not float away. The good news is that despite the horrid weather, I spotted the first green shoots today when out walking! Which means hard as it is to believe, spring is on its way.
As part of my determination to bring you a little optimism and joy this month, I have a full year-long calendar of what’s on in Sussex to help fill your diary with things to look forward to. I’ll be updating this throughout the year so do keep on re-checking it.
I also thought it would be nice to kick off the Year of the Coast with a walk around Thorney Island. I did this walk in the summer but reckon it would be wonderfully wild in winter.
As our town of the month, I’ve been exploring Storrington’s shops, and there are some great boutiques and independents, perfect for a good old Saturday potter.
And last, but by no means least, I am delighted to introduce Daisy Thomas who has been exploring some East Sussex eating holes as part of Tryanuary. Hmmm, I feel a trip east coming on!
That’s it for now but don’t forget there is lots more Sussex stuff in our free magazine: Sussex Exclusive Magazine.
Have a great weekend.
