Discover, explore and savour the best of Sussex

Embracing autumn with walks, gardens, & a supper club

Welcome to the end of an extraordinary week and this week’s slice of Sussex.

I don’t know about you, but it’s been a poignant reminder of the importance of simple values and small gestures that matter and make a difference. And after a turbulent few years, this week has almost felt like balm on the wounds.

Embracing the idea of simple things, I’ve gone “full autumn” this week. After all, what is more reflective, healing, and healthy than a good Sussex autumn walk or spending time in an autumn garden? I’ve included some places to eat with each walk suggestion, nearly all of which are dog friendly.

Talking of eating, I’m also super excited about a new four-course autumn supper club that’s taking place at the Knepp Estate. It sounds fabulous and what a great venue.

Finally, as Horsham is our town of the month, I’ve been out and about exploring the independent shops and boutiques of the town to see what’s on offer. It’s certainly a busy and bustling market town.

If you want something to look forward to, don’t forget to book your tickets to the Bubbles and Botanicals Fair (a great opportunity to try and buy outstanding Sussex sparkling wine and craft gin in time for Christmas). You can book your Early Bird tickets here: Bubbles and Botanicals Fair.

That’s it for now. Have a good weekend.
