Flower festivals, epic battles, beautiful walks & wild garlic

I am fresh back from my Normandy adventures! Wow, what an experience it was to be able to explore a part of France that is an inherent part of our Sussex history. More of that anon.

Back in Blighty, there is lots to look forward to.  For history buffs, head over to Lewes next weekend for the epic re-enactment of the Battle of Lewes, or for the green-fingered amongst you, the Chichester Festival of Flowers is definitely one for the diary.

May is also a great time for walking and whilst exploring East Grinstead recently, I deviated to the Gravetye estate and enjoyed a really fabulous walk. Our woods are currently awash with wild garlic, which I, for one, love using in salads, but I thought it would be a good time to reshare an easy wild garlic butter recipe. Mmmmm.

And over on the SE business pages, this week Julie Brown shares her happiness hacks to help make sure we have more happiness in our daily lives.

That’s it for now. Have a good one.
