Sussex Foodie Experiences: Food & Fire

Cookery and foraging workshops

Jacqueline Wise is a professional chef, passionate gardener and hedgerow forager based in Pagham, near Chichester, West Sussex. She’s also the founder of Positively Delicious which runs regenerative-led Sussex foodie experiences. They are all about hyper-seasonal and organic produce, with a focus on soil health and helping us all understand the importance of how we source and cook our meals, reduce food waste, improve our own mental and physical health and the health of the planet, through inspirational and energising food experiences.

Positively Delicious also organise all sorts of fabulous foodie experiences including foraging walks and picnics, fire-cookery workshop days, supper clubs and live cookery theatres and feast nights. And one such event is their forthcoming Connection through Cookery event.

Foraging & Fire-Cookery Experience Days

If you love good food and are keen to learn creative de-stressing skills to last a lifetime, this might be for you. It’s all about discovering wild edibles (and their herbal powers), seasonal food and how to cook over fire – all set in a magical woodland setting. Led by Jacqueline Wise this is one for enjoying the simple pleasures of nourishing food, and big doses of foodie wellbeing inspiration.

What’s on the agenda?

This is a wonderful way to spend a day and includes:

-Wild herbal tea ritual welcome drink and sweet treats
-Introduction to ‘Connection through Cookery’ – how to use a mindful approach to nature, herbs & cooking to reduce stress
-Foraging walk
-Wild-inspired cocktails/mocktails and canapes
-Hands-on communal Fire Cookery Lesson with recipes to keep, using seasonal and foraged ingredients
-Create and enjoy a communal meal with complimentary organic wine/soft drink
