Tottington Manor near Henfield re-opened under new ownership 4 years ago and on hot on the heels of its new look and success, the team at Tottington opened the TERRA Restaurant in 2024. Now, a little over a year since, and following a visit from the AA Inspector, TERRA Restaurant has been awarded their first AA Rosette.
But before the Sussex sparkling wine corks could be popped, the TERRA Restaurant was awarded another accolade, their first BRAVO Award for Most Sustainable Restaurant. The BRAVO awards are highly regarded hospitality equivalent of the Oscars spearheaded by Brighton Restaurants.
Sustainability and local ingredients
The sustainability award is hotly contested but the team at TERRA have made sustainable hospitality their primary focus from day one. With rising fuel costs, their priority was to eliminate fossil fuels, dramatically reduce wastage and use Sussex ingredients across 90% of their food menu and 25% of their drinks and wines, and thereby actively support the local economy.
Building on this success, TERRA Restaurant also achieved yet another award, 2nd place as Best Sussex Restaurant and across all the BRAVO categories, they were in the top 10 for 4 and top 20 for all 5 nominations out of the thousands nominated.

A peep at their menu
The gorgeous TERRA Restuarant sits right at the foot of the South Downs with stylish décor and plenty of outdoor seating. A quick glance at their menu reveals lots of Sussex flavours and a map shows you where their ingredients have come from. Tuck into Sussex Coast Turbot, Ditchling Chicken or the best of Sussex Grazer platter. You can also enjoy local beer, Sussex cheese and Sussex wines.
