Holy smoke, it’s hot! How are you coping? Are you coping? Or have you given up, and retired to underneath a tree in the garden? I’m quite tempted to join the dog in the pond!
In an interesting week here at SE HQ, I managed to catch the lurgy (honestly, in a heatwave?) and deliver a TEDx talk! And tempted as I am to now share lots of action-packed ideas for the weekend, frankly, it’s too hot, so let’s keep it cool and calm.
We do have some lovely lidos in Sussex, which is one way to keep cool, or you could head to the beach at Tide Mills and make an appointment to visit Seaford’s very exotic Driftwood garden.
Alternatively, just make yourself a refreshing gin smash. Then pull up a deckchair and plan some things to do in July – it will probably rain all month and oh, how we’ll miss the heat!
There are lots more lovely ideas in the magazine, including a coastal wine trail and some beachcombing!
But above all else, keep cool!
