Discover, explore and savour the best of Sussex

Rediscover Rye, walk the River Adur & enjoy exquisite cuisine

Welcome to this week’s newsletter, full of Sussex flavour and ways to get off the beaten track.

Wow, what a week. As it’s our featured town of the month, I’ve been back over to Rye this week. But having visited the highlights already, I wanted to see the less talked about attractions of Rye and the surrounding area. So I did some digging and driving, and quite a lot of walking (and eating and drinking), and the result is 12 great things to do in Rye which are a little bit different from the normal list.

On the subject of eating, I was also lucky enough to try the tasting menu at Heritage in Slaugham recently. That’s another wow! What a fantastic gastronomical experience that is. I can’t wait to go back.

To help burn off a few calories, I have also been out on the trails this week and have got a  lovely walk along the River Adur in West Sussex for you. And finally, and because Arundel seems to be a town that just keeps on giving, I’ve been to visit the Arundel Museum there just ahead of the tulip festival.

Don’t forget, if you haven’t already (or even if you have), do have a look at our new Sussex Exclusive magazineAnd have a great weekend.
