Discover, explore and savour the best of Sussex

Sussex gardens, restaurants, walks and a Sussex story

Welcome to this week’s packed newsletter, and the last one for 2021!

Wow! The end of the year already, or perhaps it’s better viewed as the beginning of a new one! We’ve had an extraordinary year here at Sussex Exclusive which has included lots of hard work but many Sussex adventures which I hope you’ve enjoyed as much as we have.

But 2021 isn’t quite done with us yet and to round off the year, this week we’ve eaten at Goodwood’s flagship restaurant (all in the name of research of course), we’ve been out finding a new walk (with restaurants en route) and we’ve had a look back at some of our favourite Sussex gardens. And because we love a bit of folklore and heritage, as promised, we also bring you the story of one old Sussex pub that has certainly been through the wars but is still going strong … think highwaymen, charabancs, tragedy, Lord Nelson, and a naked barmaid!

And as the sun sets on this New Year’s Eve, it only remains to wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year, and I look forward to you joining me on the many adventures I have planned for 2022!
