Welcome to this week’s newsletter and Sussex adventures
I don’t know about you but Monday was an unexpectedly emotional one! And I certainly was surprised at how drawn into and engaged I was with Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. But after the intensity of the last two weeks, I for one, needed some Sussex therapy and so I did what I do best: ate cake, went walking, drank wine, and indulged in a little local history. As therapy goes, I can thoroughly recommend it.
So this week and in advance of the forthcoming Bubbles and Botanicals Fair, I’ve got details of 10 fabulous vineyards and winemakers who will be at the event. (Don’t forget to book your tickets before the early bird offer expires.)
Carrying on our Horsham theme, I’ve got some great Horsham coffee shops and cafés, and when you’ve finished all that cake, head south to Sullington just outside Storrington for a fabulous circular walk along the South Downs.
Finally, having been on my list of things to do for a long time, I made it to Bignor Roman Villa this week! Wow! What a place and well worth a visit.
