Welcome to this week’s newsletter and your weekly dose of Sussex.
After a week away, I’m back and full of the joys of autumn! On my travels around Sussex in the last two weeks, I seem to have been caught between fabulous sunshine and torrential rain, but rain has not stopped play.
On a day trip to Seaford, I received a really warm welcome from the locals and discovered some gorgeous independent shops and boutiques, before heading up to Ashdown Forest and the rather sublime new brasserie at Ashdown Park.
Then I headed west and explored The Mens Nature Reserve, a woodland I have driven past hundreds of times and which is really quite magical. And as always that required a Pitts-Stop for some cake so, I popped into the highly recommended community café, Fittleworth Stores! A real treat that was.
Our Sussex health expert is also back this week with help and advice for anyone suffering from the dreaded cold sore:
In other news, please do have a look at the next issue of our Sussex Exclusive Magazine. It’s completely free and it is packed with Sussex loveliness: from Sussex recipes and cocktails to vineyards and wines, wonderful walks and sleepy towns, things to do, local authors, health tips and lots more:
Apart from that, it’s full steam ahead to the Bubbles and Botanicals event on 19th November, so don’t forget to buy your tickets and I’ll see you there.
Have a great weekend.
